AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER...

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer also called Aircraft Mechanic, because they perform maintenance on aeroplane and other flying machines. They work in hangers, airfields, and repair stations and also work in hot and cold temperatures when handling outdoor task. They may have to wear protective cloth and accessories to manage dangerous chemicals, loud noise, and large power tools with safety.


Duties: 

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer maintains and repair aircraft frames and mechanical parts, while other specialists called avionics technicians who handle the electronics. They use instrument to measure wear and test control, replace defective components with hand tools, inspect their work to make sure it meets established standard and keep records of all actions. Their job is stressful because they have limited time to complete their work before the aircraft continues with the travel schedule. They are also specialize in particular vehicle such as helicopter or jet, or focus on systems such as engine or hydrolic.


How to Become Aircraft Maintenance Engineer:

To become an aircraft maintenance engineer, candidate must have to complete aircraft maintenance engineering course from DGCA CAR 147 approved training institute after completing 10+2 with PCM. This is not enough to complete Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. To become aircraft maintenance engineer candidate also must have to pass AME license exams also called modules and five years of maintenance experience. Till then you will work as aircraft maintenance technician.
